Graphic Organizers can be used by both teachers and students. Teachers can use them to present topics better. Example for an Information Literacy Class: Chart with Advantages and Disadvantages of Google Scholar, Online Databases, Books, Periodicals. There is something engaging about sharing the classes' and teacher's thoughts on a board. A student's prior knowledge is used, the knowledge of the teacher is shared along with other students' thoughts and ideas, and new knowledge is constructed.

Students can also use charts to present, organize, their thoughts. All of which assist in the retention of what they learned.

Teachers can also create crossword puzzles in excel to help students review terms for tests. It is important to realize that learning can be fun.
